Vocal Ensembles

CHOIR I Year Long Course • Grades 9-10-11-12
Fulfills HS Visual/Performing Arts or General Elective

No audition necessary! Recommended for beginning to intermediate singers. In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of performing various styles of music as a group, music theory instruction, and musical theater training with master classes and clinicians. Students in this course will also perform in our 2020 AHS Music Dept. “Broadway Night” production. CHOIR II Year Long Course • Grades 9-10-11-12
Fulfills HS Visual/Performing Arts or General Elective

Intermediate to advanced singers in this course perform various styles of music as a group and also receive music theory instruction, classical training, musical theater training, master classes with clinicians, and will also perform in our 2020 AHS Music Dept. “Broadway Night” production. A CAPPELLA aka AGOURAPELLA is currently an extra-curricular class open to all students enrolled in an Agoura High Music class or who have taken at least one year of AHS Wind Ensemble/Marching Band, Jazz Band, Choir or Orchestra. Agourapella currently meets after school and does not conflict with elective/academic courses during periods 0-6. MADRIGALS is an extra-curricular singing group which meets twice a week during lunch. It is open to all students currently enrolled in an AHS Music class.
