The AHS Music Program needs your financial support. Constant school budget cuts threaten all of the arts, making parental and community support more critical to our program than ever. Your voluntary participation donation is the primary source of revenue for the AHS Music Program and your donations directly benefit the students involved in the program. Your voluntary donation helps us purchase and provide:
- Sheet music
- Instrument repair
- Replacement instruments
- Guest instructors
- Upgrades to the music classrooms
- Equipment (audio, music stands, chairs, etc.)
Our goal is to receive voluntary donations of $250 for each student participating in one music class and $400 for each student participating in two or more music classes (including Madrigals). This “fair share” approach is consistent with athletes participating in multiple sports or students participating in other multiple activities at AHS. Please note that “Wind Ensemble/Marching Band” is considered one class. In addition, the AHS Music Program requested donation is still significantly less than other local music programs.
